Losin' it
Today at work - a Friday no less - I've been very busy trying to get the billing out the door while at the same time covering the non-stop ringing phones for our receptionist, who is out sick today, AND dealing with my boss asking me to provide all kinds of random information for her. Just as I was thinking about how insane this is and wondering whether or not I was going to get to eat lunch away from my desk, the main phone line rings. This is how I answered the call (and completely unintentional, by the way): "________(name of company), this is Crazy. Uh, I mean Carrie."
After listening to the woman on the other end totally lose it for a couple of minutes I guess I can add "humiliated" to the growing list of negative feelings I'm experiencing today.
